| I know that so many people probably think of Iowa as nothing but flat land filled with bean and corn fields. Especially if you're traveling through on a main highway or interstate, but it isn't just that. Yesterday I grabbed my daughter and my two littlest baby grands and went on a country road trip. Here are some of the pics that I took, all of this is within a 10 mile radius of my home. I think I am lucky to live in an area that has quite a few rivers, creeks, and timberland. If I can manage it, this first set is a now overgrown public park that as a child we fished at, had girlscout daycamp at and school field trips to. As a teenager, it was the site of many a kegger party! well evidently I'm too stupid to run the image controls, so forget I said anything. |

| Did you try to upload the images to the board? Or are you supporting them and linking them? Support and link is the way I always go. Uploading to a board I have little experience with. Sometimes for avatar size images but never for big images. If your images have not been shrunk to more web friendly dimensions & they might be too big.
Have you heard of Picasa 3? It's a pretty kool (and also kinda complicated) google photo album that will give your images web support in a few clicks. And they don't limit the image size. The complicated part is making sure you only open the proper file paths to your photo folders. Otherwise every image on your drive will end up in the album (which is not a terrible thing if you don't have a shitload of porn on your drive). They have a pretty easy to figure out file path tree where you can open and close off file paths. When I first got it I found it kinda scary (seeing things in my album that I did not want there) but now that I know my way around it I think its great.
Otherwise good ol Photobucket is still a great option (tho these days they limit image size in their free deal).
Hope this helps

| 'Iowa" is also a really shitty CD by the band "Slipknot".
Although I DO LIKE the musical stylings of Slipknot, 'Iowa" kinda sucks.
Slipknot's CD called 'Subliminal Verses', (produced by God himself, Rick mutha-fuckin Rubin) is one of the best CD's ever made, period. NOT Abby Road, NOT Barry Manillow's GH, NOT The Best of Flock Of Seagulls>
I think I pooped in a rest stop in Iowa once. Or was that Idaho?
I'd a Ho once.
Different story for a different day.

| Well, I uploaded some photo's to Webshots, lets see if I can manage to download them. Again, these are a few scenes from the river park I grew up with, a couple miles outside of my hometown. Like I said, when I grew up, this was a cleared park where many activities occurred. You can see the trees are what might be considered 'new' growth. Next set, which I'll try to get to, sooner rather than later, is a series of pictures I took on the country road that wanders away from the park. |

| Well, I have a bunch more. Some are old buildings, barns, bridges...some just country side. I have a series of one guys estate. He lives about 10 miles from me, and my Sig O's sister-in-law works for him. Rather, she's his wife's personal assistant. Over the past 20-30 years he's taken several miles and 100's of acres and turned his estate into a beautiful, landscaped park-like area, complete with ponds, timber, cabin (aside from the big ol' main house), and a humongus stone water fountain. Anyway, this next batch is along the road leaving the park. 1-4 is approaching a creek and the creek itself. The photo's of the horses are up the road a ways where the creek has doubled back, The little shed is across the road, the barn is down the road. And this is just some fall color along the road |

| Very nice. That's a brilliant sun out there.
I clicked on the pics and was able to see the full size versions and they are even more impressive looking all bigged up. Esp that fall colors one. |

| Nice pics, ready. I spent many hours wandering rivers and banks with a fishing rod as a kid in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. |
