Actually this is behind my small backyard, but about 100 ft from my house. It isn't a particularly good video... the loud rain on our makeshift tarp cover on the deck, the sound of t.o.m.'s camera, and my shaky camera work... but it has been nearly impossible to capture these deer on video. When they are still, they become nearly invisible. I didn't realize until nearly the end that there were 2 deer.

thats about as exciting as watching my toenails grow. I tried to watch til the end,....I really did. But I saw the second deer b4 the halfway point and I figured the rest might just be a bit too exciting for me. Gotta watch the ticker ya know. I'm gettin old.

Awesome Lrat! I live in a down town apt, so I completely envy you. The noise didn't bother me a bit since I have no audio anyway!

That is some beautiful land you got out there.
It's the sound of rain hitting tarp Ready, which for some reason I find very relaxing. Reminds me of camping out, the way the rain would sound as it hit your tent.

Great video, LakeRat. We've been overrun by fox. They're everywhere! $30.00 a pelt and my men are going nuts. It pisses me off that they're shooting them in the first place but from the kitchen window? Ugh. My oldest son, Sam, shot a buck with his bow Monday......10 pointer. Scored 132 1/2. I love it how my garage turns into a butcher shop. My BFF's son shot a 12 point buck 2 weeks ago that scored 177 3/4. That's a massive buck.

I'm a city boy. Never hunted in my life. I know what "12 point" means. Could you please explain the score and what it means?

Scoring a deer is hard to do unless you know exactly what you are talking about. It takes a whole bunch of measuring. You have to count up the points, measure how long the point are, measure how far apart the points are from each other and also measure how far one antler is from the other. For more information look here: Online buck scoring. http://www.boone-crockett.org/Bgrecords/...;

You don't want to be drinking when trying to score a buck but you probably have been drinking if you want to score with a buck.
