What a suck ass year for mah Mets!
They started off okay and them looked real good for a while, but then reality caught up with them and they sucked mah balls.

But this end to the N.L this season This could be most interesting.
The Reds, Giants and Padres could end up in a three way tie. That could mean two playoff games will be needed to decide the outcome.
The odds of that happening aren;t too good but at least theres something to watch on this, the last day of the season.

That's so depressing to me, that the baseball season ends today. I'm a big fan of post season baseball though, so bring on the World Series, and GO PHILLIES!

The pitching this year has been fucking SICK in general, but what Halliday did was disgusting. THEN, that long haired freak from frisco matched it. This has been a bizzarre year for pitchers. I half-way expect Kenny Powers to come out and scream, 'You're Fucking Out!".

Didn't the Mutts just fire EVERYONE?

Yes, the no-no pretty much blew my mind.
It was weird to watch cuz by the 6th I really wanted it to happen but at the same time I was thinking : no way is he gonna be able to do this.
Then he did it. Yes, it was totally sick.

Yep, the year of the pitcher. Its just the pendulum swinging back from the steroid days, imo.

The Mess fired the GM and manager. I personally think the problem is ownership, and as long as Jeff Wilpon is in the pots and pans the Mets are gonna be the Mess. He has to leave the baseball business to the baseball people. I don't think he can do that.

Can the Rangers hit other than Josh "Bong-Hit" Hamilton? Talk about carrying a tream on yer back!

It's ALL Hamilton, in games 1 and 3.

Don't believe me? Look up the scoring and shit. JH may just be the best Playoff hitter of all-time.

BTW....Kenny Fucking Powers is GOD.

Okay, they won 10-3, and It wasn't all Hamilton. However, JH did go long. I think the Spankees are in trouble down 3-1.

Did anyone see Nolan Ryan in the stands? He was smiling like ....(insert joke here)

Did ANYONE WATCH this series? I cannot believe a TENN VS JAX blow-out shit game was out-rated by this fantastic performance. The fucking Rangers have NEVER won anything, and they are ONE game away from the series. WITH pitching.

If SF beats PHI, then TEX is gonna win.

Bad-ass play-off games so far. Too bad Me and Z are the onliest ones watching.

Both the Rangers and Giants have been surprising me. But thats baseball in a short series. Any team can win.

Sitting here watching the Phils/Giants game right now. Giants were winning but Phils came back and have a one run lead after 5.
Good games in this NL series. Only saw one of the AL games so far.
I wouldn't mind seeing Texas in the big show cause they have never won one (have they ever even been in a WS be4?).
So if the Skanks go down I don't give a shit.
But I like and know this Phils team very well (I get their games as part of my cable package) and I'll be bummed if SF sends em packin.
But they won't.

PHILLY IN 6!

Watching tonights game.
Giants did win last night and it was really a great game. Seeing some good baseball, and that's all I can ask when my Mets are not in the mix.
Right now its 3-2 Phils, another very good game so far. If they lose, they go home. If they win, they stay to phight another day.

Starting to get geared for a possible Texas/San Fran series though. That wouldn't suck.
I figured the Yanks/Phils make for the best baseball, but truth is whoever is playing the best makes for the best baseball.
It's a wacky game like that.

Phils phucked up!

Rangers vs Giants in the big show!
A series I don't give a rats ass about! Yay!
I'll go with the N.L. Giants with no emotional investment.

Well, it's baseball and it should be at least interesting to see who wins. Hope it goes 7 games cause after that no baseball for a while Sad

I actually feel happier for the Rangers than I did for the Astros, for several reasons:
1. Nolan Frikkin' Ryan
2. They filed bankruptcy THIS SEASON!!!
3. Been a laughing-stock team since W owned them.
4. Better chance of winning.
5. Josh Hamilton. i fucking love this dude.

Fucking sucks I gotta wait until Wednesday. I'm ready NOW!

GO TEXAS!!!!!!!

Oh, I am rooting for the Giants though.
N.L. team.
And there would be no Mets if they didn't move to the west coast the year I was born.

I know this is easy to say in retrospect, after they now have won the 1st two games, but I don't want a sweep. I want as much baseball as possible before the winter.
7 games baby!

TAKE IT 7 GAMES TEXAS!

I will share this article in which sentimentally I share Seavers feelings for Nolan Ryan :
Baseball 2010 Nolan-ryan-tom-seaver
Quote :
Tom Seaver is a self-described "voracious box score reader" and he has tuned in this postseason specifically to see Cliff Lee. But the real reason the The Franchise "has watched more playoffs than I have in the last 10 years" is that he's rooting for a friend.

Nolan Ryan and Seaver helped the 1969 Mets win the World Series. While the world knows Ryan as an intimidating ex-pitcher and a baseball man savvy enough to energize the dismal Rangers, Seaver says his pal is anything but the taciturn Texan he appears to be in TV shots of his late-game grimaces. "When they beat the Yankees, he looked like a little kid," Seaver says. "He has one of the most infectious smiles and laughs you've ever heard. He doesn't put his emotions on the line, but if you can get him laughing, it's one of the warmest feelings you can get. It's always sincere. He's not effusive, but when you can hit the button, boy, it's so sincere that it gets you."

Ryan, the Rangers' president and part-owner, was a Hall of Famer after a 27-year pitching career and was later a successful rancher and banker. "He's done the same thing he did his first go-around in his career and then with his business," Seaver says. "It's a beautiful baseball story, for crying out loud. He finishes his 27 years, goes out and does another thing and then comes back and salvages a franchise. Not only that, but they are on the cusp of something great. I can't pull for anyone more than I pull for him.

"The Rangers have got the guy on the lead horse now and everyone is lined up behind him and they're all headed in the right direction. That's what Nolan did. Intuitively, you can tell something is right about that organization now and that's something I always felt about the Dodger organization, that everyone was on the same page. I sense this about the Rangers now. And Ruth (Ryan's wife) was right there next to him on television," Seaver adds. "She's always been an integral part of that journey he's on."

Seaver jokes that he and Ryan have had dinners over the years in which the topic of pitch counts has been ridiculed. Ryan is famous for his philosophy that Ranger pitchers need to prepare to pitch deeper in games. "Yeah, some of us are old school like that, exactly right," Seaver says.

At one point, Seaver says he is looking at the wall in the office of his winery in Napa Valley, Calif., where a copy of the cover of the July 13, 2009 issue of Sports Illustrated hangs. The picture on it is from a lifetime ago and both men are fresh-faced members of the Miracle Mets.

"We both look like we're 12 years old," Seaver says. "You can tell who I'm pulling for, right? Don't tell anybody in the Bay Area, though."

(still rooting for the Giants though)

Texas must win tonight and take it back to San Francisco, the glory hole capitol of the world!

Baseball has to get its shit together.
Playing the WS in Nov is just plain silly and wrong.

This should have been over a week ago.

Giants win. Yay!
I really tried to get into this series but I only had one eye on it.
Was gonna get into a game 7.
Good pitching but mostly for San Fran.
Lee threw one bad pitch to Renteria.

I wanted more games.
Baseballs over.
WAAAAAAAAAA!

It really was. Anti climactic, I think. Good games up until like the 5th inning.
My post season peak was the no-hitter which started it off.

It's nice the Giants are the World Champs though.
They were due.
